Flower Mound is most livable small city in Texas
Flower Mound – home to some of the final new-home opportunities remaining in Canyon Falls – ranks as the No. 1 Most Livable Small City in Texas in a new report from SmartAsset.
Flower Mound was the only Texas city ranked in the top 50 in the SmartAsset report, which compared 281 U.S. cities with populations between 65,000 and 100,000 residents. The study analyzed eight metrics, including housing costs, average commute times, and the ratios of entertainment, food service and healthcare businesses.
"Small cities may offer cost benefits for residents looking to stretch their income while enjoying a comfortable – and more spacious – lifestyle," the report's author wrote. "While livability is a subjective concept that may take on different definitions for different people, some elements of a community can come close to being universally beneficial."
Centrally located between Grapevine Lake and Lake Lewisville, Flower Mound has nearly 1,000 acres of parkland, including more than 75 acres of trails, 57 parks and 37 unique playgrounds.
The town’s newest park is the 10-acre Canyon Falls Park, located adjacent to Canyon Falls and connected to our community trail system.
In 2023, Livability.com ranked Flower Mound No. 1 on its Best Places to Live in the Southwest list, and No. 2 in its Best Places to Live in America study.
A 1,200-acre master-planned community, Canyon Falls is proud to be located in Flower Mound as well as Argyle and Northlake.
