The Hay Barn preserves part of Canyon Falls’ history as a new destination for fun
The Hay Barn, one of the newest recreational amenities at Canyon Falls, preserves part of the community’s past to create a fun destination for residents to enjoy everything from community-wide events, to just hanging out with family and neighbors.
Part of a five-acre recreation complex that also includes the Pooch Park, the Hay Barn dates back to the time when this land was a working farm.
In transforming the Hay Barn into a multi-purpose amenity center for Canyon Falls residents, Newland Communities carefully preserved the authentic look of the exterior, while reengineering the interior to safely accommodate large groups of residents.
In its new life, the Hay Barn now hosts community events and activities, from live music concerts to HOA meetings.
The Hay Barn has a deep overhang that has been transformed as The Porch, an outside event venue with covered and open-air gathering spaces.
In addition to picnic tables and festive string lighting, The Porch area includes an old Silo that was moved from another part of Canyon Falls and restored. Today, the Silo provides a unique entry to the small dog area of the Pooch Park dog park.
The Hay Barn is connected to the Canyon Falls Club, the Graham Branch Creek greenbelt and other amenities by Canyon Falls’ growing trail system.
These amenities are part of a master plan that envisions more than 250 acres of parks, trails and natural open spaces in the community. Learn more about recreation at Canyon Falls.
