Graham Branch Creek is a natural focal point of Canyon Falls
Meandering through Canyon Falls like a green ribbon, Graham Branch Creek is a centerpiece of the community’s vision for a relaxed, nature-focused lifestyle.
Approximately 200 acres are being preserved along Graham Branch Creek as it winds through Canyon Falls, before eventually joining Denton Creek, a tributary of 8,000-acre Lake Grapevine nearby.
Graham Branch Creek is a focal point for the community’s 10-mile trail system, which connects neighborhoods with schools and amenities including the Canyon Falls Club and the Pooch Park.
Canyon Falls also plans to create a natural trail system along the creek, with steps to allow residents to climb down and explore the creek bed, and pedestrian bridges to provide connectivity for both banks.
As a seasonal creek, Graham Branch Creek is dry during some times of the year, while other times the water gushes and trickles over rocks and logs.
In every season, Graham Branch Creek is a fascinating place for residents of all ages to explore, with its wooded landscape providing habitat for a wild variety of wildlife, such as deer and owls. The creek also provides a lush verdant backdrop for daily sunsets, which many residents enjoy from the Canyon Falls Club and other spots throughout the community.
