The Lions Club Balloon Festival and Fair - Highland Village
Weekend in mid August
With tethered hot-air balloon rides, live music, food and beverage booths, arts and crafts tents and a carnival, this three-day festival is more than just pretty balloons -- though they’ve got those too in the form of evening “balloon glows” (anchored hot-air balloons lit up like colorful lanterns).

Celebrate Roanoke - Roanoke
2nd Saturday in October
This downtown festival includes free live music, fireworks, a Texas Motor Speedway exhibit, food booths, craft vendors, historic reenactments, and kids’ entertainment including magicians, puppet shows, bounce houses and more.

Grapefest - Grapevine
4 days in mid September
Live music on three stages, food vendors, carnival rides, ice carving demos, a car show -- and, of course, wine tasting -- are just some of the attractions of this four-day event, now in its 30th year.

ICE! and Lone Star Christmas at the Gaylord Texan - Grapevine
November and December
Come see the magic of two million lights bouncing off ice sculptures crafted from two million pounds of ice at this four-star hotel in Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas. There’s even a 54-foot Christmas tree and indoor snow tubing with real snow!
